Before you set up UK IPTV

MAG boxes need no app at all, just a portal URL and their own MAC address.

IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Downloader is the only extra you need, and the Amazon Appstore's search box finds it. It works as a courier for the next file.
  2. The stick refuses outside files until told otherwise. Find Developer options inside My Fire TV, in Settings, and permit Downloader to bring in apps that did not come from the store. Labels differ slightly from one Fire OS release to another.
  3. Type the maker's official download page for IPTV Smarters Pro into Downloader's address bar. When the file arrives, say yes to the installer.
  4. On first run, IPTV Smarters Pro offers sign-in routes. Pick the one with three boxes, for the server, the username and the password.
  5. Copy the values across from the login email. Once the list has loaded, the remote scrolls it.

Rely only on the page the app maker publishes. A copy hosted somewhere else may not be the real thing.

UK IPTV on a Fire TV Stick, the TiviMate way

TiviMate

  1. Get Downloader from the Amazon Appstore first, because TiviMate will ride in on it.
  2. Give Downloader the unknown-apps permission, which lives under Developer options in My Fire TV.
  3. Put the TiviMate download page published by its maker into Downloader, let the file arrive and accept the installer.
  4. TiviMate starts empty. Add a playlist, choosing the entry method with boxes for the server, the username and the password.
  5. Fill the boxes from your email. TiviMate then draws the guide as a grid that the remote can move around.

Each of the two apps has its own block, and one is plenty on a single stick.

UK IPTV on Android TV or Google TV

TiviMate

  1. Open Google Play on the television or box and search for TiviMate.
  2. Download it, then run it.
  3. TiviMate asks for a playlist. Add one, selecting the entry method with boxes for the server, the username and the password.
  4. Copy the values from your email exactly as written, capital letters included.
  5. The first launch needs a moment to build the list. After that, the remote takes you through the guide.

TiviMate suits televisions and boxes. Handsets use a different app, covered lower down.

UK IPTV on Samsung and LG television sets

IBO Player

  1. Open the television's own app store, search for IBO Player and download it.
  2. Run IBO Player. Its opening screen prints the set's MAC address, and below it a device key. Write both down.
  3. Switch to a phone or computer. On IBO Player's activation page, type in that pair and add your login from the email.
  4. Back at the television, close IBO Player entirely, then launch it once more to read the new entry.
  5. The list should now appear. If it does not, compare the MAC address you typed with the one on screen, character by character.

The set's own MAC address is the one that counts, not any number printed on the router.

UK IPTV on Apple TV

IBO Player

  1. Go to the Apple TV's App Store and fetch IBO Player.
  2. Run IBO Player and copy down the device key and the MAC address it displays.
  3. On a phone or computer, register that pair at IBO Player's activation page, plus your login from the email.
  4. Return to the Apple TV, close IBO Player and start it afresh to load your list.
  5. Choose a channel. Registering on the activation page stands in for typing a login on the television itself.

UK IPTV on an iPhone or iPad

IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Search the App Store for IPTV Smarters Pro and tap Get.
  2. Open the app once the download completes.
  3. On the first screen, choose the sign-in that matches the three items in your email.
  4. Copy them across from the login email and confirm.
  5. Give the list a moment to build. A steady Wi-Fi signal helps here.

UK IPTV for Android phones and tablets

IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Find IPTV Smarters Pro on Google Play.
  2. Tap Install, and Open when it is done.
  3. Select the sign-in route with boxes for the server, the username and the password.
  4. Fill the boxes in from your login email and sign in.
  5. Scroll the list that opens to find a channel.

TiviMate is made for televisions and boxes rather than handsets, which leaves this block with one app.

UK IPTV on Windows or Mac

IPTV Smarters Pro

  1. Visit the maker's desktop download page for IPTV Smarters Pro and take the Windows or the Mac version.
  2. Open the downloaded file and click through the installer, as with any other desktop software.
  3. Start the app and pick the sign-in with boxes for the server, the username and the password.
  4. Paste the values in from your login email.
  5. Browse the list with the mouse or trackpad.

UK IPTV on a MAG box

No app needed

  1. Turn the MAG box over: its MAC address is printed on the label.
  2. Go into the box's settings and put the portal URL from your login email into the portal entry.
  3. Restart. The box then asks the portal for your list.
  4. On return, the channel list is served by the portal. No app is installed at any point.

Which app should I pick for UK IPTV on a given device?

Match the app to the device. IPTV Smarters Pro covers Fire TV, handsets and tablets, and Windows and Mac computers. TiviMate runs on Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV. IBO Player serves Samsung sets, LG sets and Apple TV. A MAG box needs no app.

Where do my UK IPTV login details arrive?
